Two vehicles destroyed in grass fire northwest of Saskatoon

SASKATOON – A grass and vehicle fire northwest of Saskatoon Thursday night kept firefighters busy. Crews were called out to the blaze five kilometres north of Highway 14 on Range Road 3072 at 11:40 p.m. CT.

They arrived to find a semi tractor and dump trailer fully involved in a grass and brush fire.

Crews were able to get the fire under control within an hour, but the vehicles are a total loss.

Saskatoon Fire Department officials are remind people that soil conditions are still very dry, and there is a fire ban in place until further notice for the RM of Corman Park.
