Slave Lake man charged with multiple offences in connection with March shooting

A 32-year-old Slave Lake man has been charged with multiple offences in connection with a shooting at a Slave Lake house party last month.

An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital in Edmonton after being shot in the legs on March 11. Police arrived at a house in the southwest part of the town early that morning where they found the victim. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Robert Mitchell was arrested on Friday, April 22 and now faces charges including aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
Mitchell is scheduled to appear in Slave Lake Provincial Court on May 11.
RCMP continue to investigate.
