Raccoon-proof green bins are officially being rolled out in Toronto on Thursday.
Approved by city council last year, the bins are designed to keep those pesky rodents out of your organic trash.
The older bins introduced from 2002 to 2005 are reaching the end of their expected 10-year lifespan.

Scarborough is scheduled to receive the bins first followed by Etobicoke and the rest of the city by the end of 2017.
The city awarded the 10-year contract to Rehrig Pacific Company to produce the new bins which is estimated to cost just over $31 million.
