Former WWE star Chyna died of an accidental drug overdose, says her manager Anthony Anzaldo.

Anzaldo claims that Chyna (real name: Joan Marie Laurer) died of a combination of the tranquilizer Valium and the sleeping pill Ambien. Her manager found her body last Wednesday in her home.

Laurer had been taking the pills via legally obtained prescriptions for the past three weeks, but wasn’t following doctor’s orders in terms of dosage, he says.

She died as the result of an accidental overdose and this was not a suicide, insisted Anzaldo.

“You are not going to find 60 pills in her stomach,” he told the Los Angeles Times.

The official autopsy is underway, and the 46-year-old was already suspected of suffering an overdose. Full toxicology reports will be released in the coming weeks.

Pill vials were found unopened at the scene by police and there was no evidence whatsoever of suicide. The coroner’s office also confirmed that no illegal drugs were found.

Laurer posted this rambling video to YouTube mere days before her body was discovered.

Interestingly, Chyna’s brain is going to be examined by Dr. Bennet Omalu (portrayed by Will Smith in the movie Concussion), an expert on chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE. It has been thought that former wrestlers, who were repeatedly exposed to blunt-force trauma and potential head injury, are more susceptible to the disease.

Anzaldo thinks Laurer’s death has nothing to do with CTE, however, and believes her death was just an accident. There was no alcohol in her home, and he thinks she died sometime on April 17 or early April 18.

“She probably lied in bed. She closed her eyes and took her last breath,” he said.
