MONTREAL – An attempted murder in the Montreal Plateau has sent one man to hospital in critical condition.
According to police, he was shot around 3:30 a.m. Monday on Saint-Laurent Boulevard, at the intersection of Roy Street, not far from des Pins Avenue.
“He was hit by at least one bullet from a firearm,” said André Leclerc, a spokesperson with Montreal police.
“He is in critical condition and was rushed to hospital.”
Eyewitnesses said a man ran east on Roy Street after the shooting.
Police are now combing the area for the suspect.
