SASKATOON – Police continue to investigate Saskatoon’s fifth homicide of 2016. Police and paramedics were called to a business in the 700-block of Central Avenue just after 1 a.m. CT Sunday for a report of a stabbing in progress.
An unconscious 18-year-old man from Winnipeg was found inside the business suffering from stab wounds. He was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Police believe an initial altercation took place in a vehicle outside the business and then continued inside.

A 29-year-old man was arrested and has been charged with first-degree murder.
He will appear in Saskatoon provincial court on Monday morning.
Police say the victim and accused knew each other.
Traffic in the area was restricted for several hours while police carried out their investigation.
