Shots fired on Broad Street, police say

REGINA – Regina police are investigating after reports of gunshots near the downtown core.

Police were called to the 2300 block of Broad Street at approximately 2:37 a.m. Tuesday after a man called in saying he heard the shots then a vehicle accelerating out of the area.

Investigators say they have evidence that shots were fired but after searching the area, do not know if anything was struck.

At about 2:41 a.m, police said they received a similar call from the 2200 block of Rae Street, close to the original location. They did not find any physical evidence in this area. Police say it could be related or a separate incident.
