WATCH Brush fire burns in southern Alberta. – Apr 18, 2016

CALGARY – Firefighters were called to a brush fire east of Airdrie on Monday.

The fire, which was about four or five acres in size, sparked near Range Road 264 and Township Road 284 at around 11:30 a.m.

Crews from Crossfield, Airdrie, Balzac and Rocky View County were all called in to help extinguish the blaze, which destroyed some farm equipment.

No structures were involved in the fire and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
