She was named a WBCA Honorable Mention All-American in each of her two years at the school and an All-ACC First Team selection last season.

Bulgak was raised in Edmonton and graduated from Archbishop O’Leary High School. While size and athleticism have helped the 6’4″ post, her high school coach Ron Kutney said it’s Bulgak’s work ethic that has set her apart from other players.

“That drive is something you don’t teach a player; they either have it or they don’t, and then that’s where they fall off on different points on the ladder because they’re just not prepared to push themselves that last little bit,” Kutney said. “I really say from my experience she’s got that.”
