“When I first saw her in the store she looked pale, but excited,” continued Romuald. “We tried to just get on with our grocery shopping, but we couldn’t. We had to check the ticket again.”

Initially, the Fabians thought they’d won $10,000 but soon discovered it was actually $1,000,000.

“I had to slap myself to make sure I wasn’t dreaming,” Romuald joked.

“We were so happy, we started crying tears of joy.”

They plan on using the money for their kids’ education, helping family and putting it towards retirement.

The couple’s winning numbers were 5, 15, 20, 27, 30, 42 and 46.
