“They’re simply wouldn’t be out of a den, still really too small to be following mom yet,” said Gail Martin, the Critter Care Wildlife Society Founder.

Last year, Critter Care rehabilitated 32 orphaned cubs, a record number. Many of them will be released into the wild starting in May.

To help with costs, the society is hosting a fundraiser later this month.
