‘Outlander’ Season 2: Caitriona Balfe gives details on what’s to come
In Season 2 of Showcase’s Outlander, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) arrive in France, hell-bent on infiltrating the Jacobite rebellion and stopping the battle of Culloden.
Jamie and Claire are thrown into the lavish world of French society, where intrigue and parties are abundant, but political gain proves far less fruitful. Altering the course of history presents challenges that begin to weigh on the very fabric of their relationship.
Armed with the knowledge of what lies ahead, Claire and Jamie must race to prevent a doomed Highland uprising, and the extinction of Scottish life as they know it. Jamie is still grappling from his traumatic experience with Randall, and a now-pregnant Claire has a million things to juggle in her mind.
Global News sat down with Balfe to talk about what’s to come in Outlander Season 2, how much sexiness audiences can expect, and what she thinks about the dedicated Outlander fanbase.
