Police have ticketed a driver after a pedestrian was struck in a crosswalk in Halifax Friday morning.

Officers were called to Inglis Street, near South Street, at 11:50 in the morning after a 64-year-old woman was struck in a crosswalk.

She was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries to her leg.

The driver, a 41-year-old man, was given a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
