It appears the saying “curiosity killed the cat” also applies to big cats – almost.
Wildlife biologists in Polson, Mont., were called to help rescue a mountain lion that became stuck after climbing a telephone pole.

A video taken of the rescue shows members of the surrounding First Nation and police attempting to coax the animal down.
Biologists were forced to tranquilize the cat after it failed to climb down by itself.
At one point the video captures the moment the drowsy cat falls from the pole.
Rescuers say the cat was not injured in the fall.
The mountain lion was tagged and released after the tranquilizer wore off.
