Adult film actress Amber Rayne, 31, was found dead in her Los Angeles apartment over the weekend.
Police say there were no signs of foul play, and no physical trauma was visible on Rayne’s body. At this time, it’s suspected that she died of a drug overdose.
Rayne was one of nine women, including MTV reality star Farrah Abraham, who accused fellow porn actor James Deen of sexual assault in late 2015.

Rayne claimed that Deen had called her a “bitch” while filming a sex scene, and then he punched her in the face and began having extremely rough sex with her that allegedly left her bleeding.
Deen told the Daily Beast that he was “baffled” by the accusations, and tweeted that they were “false and defamatory.”
Rayne had been in the adult film industry for 10 years, and was well respected. She retired in 2015 and became more involved in horse dressage and care.
“She was a really good friend, and one of the best actresses and performers that I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with, and I’m just glad that I had the opportunity to work with her and call her a friend,” said Stormy Daniels, an adult-film director, to AVN.

Daniels is helping with the funeral plans and is making arrangements to care for Rayne’s horse, which tragically died just days before Rayne.
Rayne was also a uterine cancer survivor, and was very active in that community.
Originally from Detroit, Rayne headed to Los Angeles with a touring musical production. Her funeral will take place in the coming days.
