Kanye West always says he’s larger than life, and Australian artist Scott Marsh has certainly made that a reality.
Marsh painted a huge mural on the wall of a Sydney building of West kissing himself, which was inspired by a photo from the 2015 Grammys of West grabbing wife Kim Kardashian’s butt and kissing her. The mural’s image was originally an Internet meme; West wasn’t happy about it then, and he’s not happy about it now.
Soon after the mural was painted in early March, Marsh was contacted by someone claiming to be from West’s management, offering him a “pretty decent chunk of money” to paint over the wall.
Not satisfied, Marsh is now seeking $100,000 and a lifetime supply of West’s uber-popular Yeezy Boost sneakers if West buys a print version of the painting. In exchange, the artist will paint over the mural.

“I’m offering an oversized print which has been painted over for $100,000,” Marsh said to 702 ABC Sydney.
“It’s an open invitation to Kanye,” Marsh said. “If he buys that print, then I’ll paint over the mural.”
The offer is only on the table for two weeks, said Marsh.
A big fan of West, all Marsh really wants is the rapper to like his work.

“This is the first piece of mine to receive a large amount of international attention,” Marsh said. “I suppose if Kanye really loves Kanye as much as everyone says he does, Kanye-on-Kanye action would be right up his alley.”
The City of Sydney has not officially asked for the mural to be removed, nor was it pre-approved.
