Schools in the areas went into “Secure-the-Building” mode, which is when all outside school doors are locked and monitored if there is believed to be a threat outside.

After investigating, police say they found a woman in the area who was carrying a sports equipment case with a camouflage pattern.

Four schools that were affected were Campbell Collegiate, Marion McVeety School, Massey School and Grant Road School.

The “Secure-the-Building” mode has been lifted. Police say there was no offence committed and no further cause for alarm.
