Manitoba Bisons forward Jordan DePape named All-Canadian

Manitoba Bisons forward Jordan DePape was selected a second team All-Canadian on Wednesday night.

DePape, 23, was the leading scorer in Canada West this season. He scored 19 goals and 22 assists to become the first Bisons player to lead the Canada West Conference in scoring since it merged with GPAC in 1985.

Bisons defenceman Adam Henry was selected for the CIS Men’s Hockey All-Rookie team.

Henry, 21, finished his rookie season with 14 points while playing in all 28 games in 2015-16.

The Bisons were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.

Guillaume Asselin from the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières was named the CIS player of the year.
