SASKATOON – A suspicious death in Saskatoon has been ruled a homicide. It is the first murder in the city for 2016.
Police were called to the 1500-block of Preston Avenue South around 1 a.m. CT last Friday where they found an injured 29-year-old man.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Police are not releasing his name at the request of the family.

A 36-year-old woman was taken into custody by police and interviewed. Both were residents of the same duplex.
She has been released pending further investigation by members of the major crime and forensic identification units, along with the coroner’s office.
