WINNIPEG – The St. Mary’s Academy Flames blanked the Balmoral Hall Blazers 6-0 in an all-Manitoba bronze medal game at the Female World Sport School Challenge.

Flames forward Holly Reuther scored five times to help St. Mary’s secure the third place finish. Emma Smith-Andrushko chipped in the Flames’ other goal while Tory Micklash made 24 saves for the shutout.

Shattuck St. Mary’s squeaked past Pursuit of Excellence 5-4 in the gold medal game.

The Female World Sport School Challenge is an annual hockey showcase tournament hosted by St. Mary’s Academy. It was initiated by Hockey Canada back in 2013. This year’s event featured ten teams from across North America.
