A man was injured after he fell off his chuck wagon during Tuesday night’s race at RodeoHouston.

The wagon was rounding a curve when the driver lost balance and was thrown from the wagon.

The driver appeared to be knocked unconscious when he hit the ground.

“The wagon driver has been treated by RodeoHouston sports medicine and transported to the hospital for further examination,” Dan Cheney, VP and COO of RodeoHouston told Houston’s ABC 11.

RodeoHouston tweeted late Tuesday night that the driver was “alert and awake.”

The driver reportedly suffered a shoulder injury, but is expected to recover.
