WINNIPEG — The Vincent Massey Trojans defeated the Oak Park Raiders in game one of the Winnipeg High School Hockey League’s division one championship series on Monday. The Trojans pulled out a 4-3 overtime victory at a jam packed MTS Iceplex to lead the best-of-three series 1-0.

The Trojans killed off a 5-on-3 powerplay in the extra period before Ryan Crocker buried the game winning goal behind Raiders tender Ryan Hall. The first place Raiders suffered just one regulation loss all season.

Vincent Massey knocked off second place St. Paul’s to make it to the final and are seeking the school’s first city championship in high school hockey after winning the high school football title back in the fall.
