TSX signs deal with Colombian stock market operator to share information

TORONTO – The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX:X) and TSX Venture Exchange have signed a deal with Colombian stock market operator Bolsa de Valores de Colombia to share information and make it easier for the dual listing of companies.

The exchanges said Thursday they will also help each other understand the process and rules for listing and trading securities in each other’s jurisdiction and explore and develop joint marketing opportunities.

As of April 30, there are five dual listings between Toronto Stock Exchange and Bolsa de Valores de Colombia.

There are 19 companies listed on Toronto Stock Exchange and 43 companies listed on TSX Venture Exchange with operations in Colombia.

A Canada-Colombia Free Trade Agreement was signed in 2010 and came into force last August.
