A man has been arrested in British Columbia and charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault after a stabbing just over two weeks ago in Calgary’s northeast, police said Tuesday.
Police were called to the area of Memorial Drive N.E. and 52 Street N.E. at around 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 7.
Investigators said it appeared the victim was attacked outside a nearby laundromat. He then ran to a nearby home for help, and was taken to hospital in serious condition.

Investigators said Tuesday they believe a man and a woman, who both know the victim, came to the victim’s house for a visit.
“An altercation occurred and the visiting man stabbed the victim multiple times,” police said in a release.
RCMP in Sparwood, B.C. arrested David Vernon, 34, of Calgary, on Feb. 19.
Police said Vernon would return to Calgary Tuesday, when a date for his next court appearance would be set.
