Former Yorkton doctor facing sexual assault charges

Yorkton RCMP lay multiple sex assault charges against doctor – Feb 18, 2016

REGINA – A doctor is facing sexual assault charges in Yorkton after a dozen women filed complaints between 2001 and 2008.

In 2001 an adult female contacted RCMP in Yorkton to file a sexual assault report, and since the start of that investigation twelve females in total have come forward with similar complaints.

All the offences took place between 2001 and 2008, and all the victims reported that they first encountered the accused at a medical facility in Yorkton where he worked as a physcian.

After a lengthy investigation by police they arrested Mohammed Haque in London, Ontario and charged him with six counts of sexual assault.

Haque has been released on conditions, including no contact with any of the victims, and will appear in Yorkton court on February 22nd.

While charges have been laid in relation to six complaints, RCMP are encouraging anyone else that may be a victim to come forward.
