Okanagan dog ‘Dart’ hits Best of Breed target at Westminster Kennel Club show

Irish Terrier, Dart, won 'Best of Breed' . Canadian Kennel Club

An Okanagan dog has taken home best of breed at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show in New York.

Dart, who is owned by Coldstream’s Joy Viel, was named the top Irish Terrier in the competition.

It’s the second time in as many years the Okanagan has been in the spotlight at the world renowned competition.

Last year Enderby beagle, Miss P, won top spot in the entire competition, named best in show.

Dart fell short of that target this year, with the best of show honour going to CJ, a three-year-old German shorthaired pointer.
