RCMP hunt for men who stole tires, rims from Picture Butte business

LETHBRIDGE – RCMP in Picture Butte, Alta. are looking to the public for tips after hundreds of dollars of automotive equipment was stolen from a local business earlier this month.

Officers said the theft occurred at a business on Crescent Avenue between 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 1 and 8:50 a.m. on Feb. 2. It’s believed at least two men entered through a fence.

A total of $1,000 worth of truck tires and rims were stolen.

Anyone with information is asked to call Picture Butte RCMP at 403-732-4449 or contact Crime Stoppers.

“The incident would have at least taken several minutes to accomplish and likely would have generated a fair bit of noise,” RCMP said in a news release.

The town of Picture Butte is located about 30 kilometres north of Lethbridge.
