Strathmore boy struck by truck

WATCH ABOVE: A young teen was airlifted to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Tuesday after being hit by a pickup truck near a school in Strathmore. Tracy Nagai reports – Feb 10, 2016

A young boy was hit by a pickup truck in Strathmore Tuesday afternoon.

RCMP said the 13-year-old was hit by the truck as it was making a left turn at Thomas Drive and Brent Boulevard at around 3:30 p.m.

Police said the boy was dragged for a short distance.

EMS said he was taken to Strathmore Hospital, then flown by STARS Air Ambulance to the Alberta Children’s Hospital in serious but stable condition.

There’s no word on charges.  Strathmore RCMP and a collision analyst are investigating.
