Fire destroys house in Saskatoon’s Lawson Heights neighbourhood

SASKATOON – A house in Saskatoon’s Lawson Heights neighbourhood was destroyed in a fire early Sunday morning. Crews from three Saskatoon Fire Department stations were called to 367 Coppermine Crescent just after 5:30 a.m. CT.

Crews arrived to find the home engulfed in flames. They were able to bring the blaze under control in about 30 minutes.

Firefighters spent a good part of the day putting out spot fires.

The house was vacant and no injuries were reported.

Damage is estimated at $425,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
