22 guns stolen in string of break-ins in Codiac region

RCMP say 22 firearms have been stolen in a series of break and enters in the Codiac region of New Brunswick since mid-December.

Police say the firearms were stolen from homes in Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview and surrounding areas.

Ten were stolen from one residence, where they were safely stored.

Police say most of the 22 firearms were hunting rifles, but a revolver and a reproduction pistol were also stolen along with electronics, jewellery, liquor and even food from some of the homes.
