Suspects sought after man fatally stabbed in west-end Toronto

Toronto police were searching for three people after a 23-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the city’s west-end on Wednesday evening.

Police said the victim, who they had initially said was a 17-year-old boy, was found with multiple stab wounds behind a highrise apartment building just after 7 p.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at The West Mall near Rathburn Road.

Toronto police Det.-Sgt. Steve Ryan says surveillance video appears to show two males being chased by two others and one of them was caught and stabbed.

He said the video is “quite grainy” and police don’t have clear descriptions of the suspects.
