CALGARY – Canadian country music artist Paul Brandt let Global Calgary’s Leslie Horton shave his head on the Morning News on Friday.

The musician lost his locks in honour of Country 105’s 13th annual Caring for Kids Radiothon, which kicked off on Wednesday.

The three-day live broadcast from the Alberta Children’s Hospital helps raise money for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Brandt joined Horton during her live broadcast at the hospital on Wednesday to announce that if he was able to get $5,000 in donations to his fundraising page, he would let her shave his head.

After less than two hours, Brandt had reached his goal.

On Friday, Brandt removed his cowboy hat and said goodbye to his dark brown mane.

Brandt is continuing to collect donations for the radiothon via his personal fundraising page.
