Halifax police look for man seen touching himself in view of young child

Police are looking for a man who was allegedly seen touching himself in public on Saturday night in Dartmouth.

A woman reported the incident to police on Sunday and said it occurred between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. in the Maplehurst Drive area. She said her four-year-old child saw the man outside the window with his pants down, touching himself.

The suspect is described as a white man who is about 50 to 60 years old with a grey beard and heavy build. At the time the incident occurred, he was wearing a plaid flannel jacked and baseball cap.

Anybody with information is asked to call Halifax Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
