Woman flown to hospital in life-threatening condition after crash on Hwy 22X

CALGARY – Emergency crews responded to a serious multi-vehicle crash on the southeast edge of Calgary, heading into Indus at around 5:30 p.m.

At least three vehicles – a semi-truck, pickup truck and sedan – were involved in the crash at the intersection on Highway 22X and Range Road 285.

Paramedics confirm a female required extrication from the sedan. She was flown to Foothills hospital by STARS Air Ambulance in life-threatening condition.

There were no other injuries reported.

All traffic was being rerouted and the area is expected to be closed for hours.
