Police are looking for a middle-aged couple who helped those injured in a Christmas Eve crash.

The two vehicle accident happened by Kickininee Park on Highway 97 north of Penticton at 8:30 a.m.

Police say a man driving a Honda van crossed the centreline, hitting a sedan. The woman behind the wheel of the sedan is still in hospital in serious, but stable condition. The man driving the Honda has been released from hospital.

“While on scene RCMP officers observed a middle aged couple providing medical assistance to the male driver of the Honda Odyssey van. The couple provided assistance until BC Ambulance arrived on scene to take over care of the young man,” says Cpl. Dan Moskaluk. “RCMP investigators need to speak to this couple who left the scene prior to being identified and interviewed.”
