CALGARY – Police are making an appeal for witnesses to come forward to help solve Sunday’s homicide.
There are still no arrests in the brazen daytime shooting that happened in the community of Monterey Park Sunday afternoon.
Hussein Merhi, 26, was found in the alley in the 100 block of Del Ray Road N.E. at about 2:20 p.m.
Merhi died at the scene.
Investigators believe Merhi was involved in an altercation with at least one other person before he was shot.
“There is no indication this homicide is linked to any others in the city,” police said in a news release Tuesday.
