MONTREAL – Canadiens star defenceman P.K. Subban is challenging Canadians to get off the couch and stretch their vocal chords this holiday season by sharing a rendition of Christmas favourite “Jingle Bells.”
Subban filmed the video himself surrounded by kids at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
He said he wanted to inspire Canadians to help make the world’s largest Christmas carol for kids who will be spending the holidays in the hospital.
Wednesday, Subban posted a call to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to try and get him involved in the campaign.
Friday, Trudeau responded “Challenge accepted and completed. Jingle all the way!”
The next step? Justin Bieber.
If you want to post your own version of Jingle Bells, share it using the hashtag #CanadaCarols or #ChantsduCanada.
