A large number of members and supporters of an outlaw motorcycle gang will be in the RM of Rosser and the city of Winnipeg Friday and Saturday.
“They are coming for an anniversary of some kind,” said Sgt. Bert Paquet with the RCMP. “We want to make their stay as unenjoyable as legally possible so they don’t come back into our communities to conduct their business.”
Based on police intelligence officers expect around 100 members of a biker gang are coming from across Canada and the United States.
“We don’t expect any issues,” said Sgt. Paquet. “We will monitor them and follow them.”
Sources tell Global News the biker gang meeting is the Hells Angels.
Manitoba RCMP will be providing updates over the weekend from their twitter account.
Motorists travelling on the west and north Perimeter Highway could notice a few more police units on the road over the weekend.
