Pamela Anderson shocked her fans when she announced that she was free of Hepatitis C, the disease she contracted by sharing a tainted tattoo needle about 20 years ago. She posted a celebratory picture on Instagram, which, in true Anderson fashion, was a nude.

It turns out the Canadian star, 48, had another surprise in store: her ex, Tommy Lee, underwent the same treatment and is also reportedly cured of Hepatitis C.

“You know Tommy did it first, so he got cured first,” Anderson explained exclusively to ET. “He had a different kind of treatment because he did it a year earlier than me. And he was always pushing me, you got to do this.”

Lee, 53,  gave Hepatitis C to Anderson by sharing the tattoo needle with her.

“About 10 years in, they said that you could live your whole life with this disease and you may not die from it,” said Anderson. “You could more likely die from something else, but you could get liver cancer. You could get all these horrible other things.”

The former Baywatch star is obviously relieved.

“Now that I’m cured I feel like I just got those 20 years back,” she said. “Now I’m going to go crazy,” she jokes. “I’m going to do every single thing I can. Every minute counts, so.”
