Firefighters in Christina Lake did everything they could, but were unable to stop a well-known landmark from going up in flames.
The Crow and Bear pub has been reduced to rubble after fire tore through the building around 5:30 a.m. The building has been around since 1975 and was formerly known as the Time and Place pub. The popular watering hole was located on the main drag of town along Highway 3 and was one of the first pubs in the community.
There were no injuries. Investigators are working to determine what sparked the blaze.
