EDMONTON — When Halloween rolls around, many of us like to indulge in a haunted tale or two. But, you don’t have to travel too far to get them.

Did you know there are several spooky spots right here in Edmonton and the surrounding area?

In our three-part series, we dare to explore some of the scariest venues close to home and get the eerie stories behind them.

WATCH: Disembodied faces, ghostly presence, and unexplained noises. It was once a school in the 1920s, but now it’s a multicultural heritage centre full of paranormal activity. Reporter Lisa Wolansky, Editor Diana Delanovic and Cameraman Dave Carels takes us to Stony Plain, Alta. to hear the haunting tales.

WATCH: There is mysterious presence at Fort Edmonton Park. The staff don’t like to talk about it, but with Halloween approaching they allowed us inside Firkins House to learn more about the spirits who don’t want to leave. This Halloween feature was put together by Nancy Carlson, Diana Delanovic, Dave Carels and Craig Ryan.

WATCH: It’s a historic building in the heart of Old Strathcona that used to be Fire Station No. 1. But the old brick building may also still be occupied by a firefighter’s lost soul. Photographer Geoff Stickle, reporter Michel Boyer and Editor Diana Delanovic bring us this spooky story.
