LETHBRIDGE – The Masonic Lodge of Lethbridge made a donation to the Jack Ady Cancer Centre on Thursday.

The group donated a cheque for just over $4,000 – money raised through a combination of events.  The first was the annual “George’s Ride”, a motorcycle ride takes place in Lethbridge during the month of July.  Over the years, the ride has raised almost $200,000 for the Jack Ady Cancer centre. The Masonic Lodges of Lethbridge also  participated by bringing the Man Van to Lethbridge.  The van provides mobile, on-the-spot baseline PSA testing for prostate cancer.  As men were tested, they were also given an opportunity to donate to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

“It’s very important the Mason Foundations funds that are raised stay in Alberta,” said Duane Creasor, a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lethbridge.

The Masonic Lodges have been part of  Lethbridge for over 100  years supporting various charitable organizations.
