Conservative Kelly Block is returning to Ottawa to represent the constituents of a new riding. Block will represent the new riding of Carlton Trail-Eagle Creek.
Block beat out Liberal Alex Slusar, the NDP’s Glenn Wright and the Green Party’s Lynn Oliphant.
This is a new seat created from the rural areas of Saskatoon-Humboldt (which elected Conservative MP Brad Trost by 17.5 per cent in 2011), Saskatoon-Wanuskewin (which elected Conservative MP Maurice Vellacott by 27 per cent) and Saskatoon-Rosetown-Biggar (which elected Conservative MP Kelly Block by 1.8 per cent).
