Overnight vandalism damages menorah at NDG synagogue

MONTREAL – A synagogue in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (NDG) was apparently the victim of an act of vandalism Saturday night.

Someone knocked over the large menorah that stands outside Chabad NDG on Hingston Avenue.

The synagogue usually keeps the menorah lit from dusk to dawn, and it was in perfect working order after services on Saturday.

Police are investigating the incident but so far, no arrests have been made.

The synagogue’s Rabbi, says he doesn’t know why this occurred.
