REGINA – A 42 year-old man was tasered by police officers after refusing to drop a pair of butcher knives around 1 a.m. Saturday morning.
Officers received a call that a man was causing problems at a home near Cameron Street and 2nd Avenue North.

When they arrived, he was holding two large butcher knives and ignoring their commands to put them down.
He was then tasered and taken into custody.
Shane Bigstone is charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
