A 16-year-old girl was taken to hospital this afternoon after being struck by a car crossing Wascana Parkway.
According to police the teenager was walking from the McDonald’s on Kramer Boulevard towards the university when she was hit at around 1:30 p.m.
The vehicle that struck her was allegedly turning from the university onto Wascana Parkway and was driven by a 26-year-old man.

The victim was taken to hospital suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver was issued a ticket for failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
