LETHBRIDGE – Bonduelle has moved into Southern Alberta. The frozen vegetable supplier took over the old Lucerne building located at 131 22 St. North last February. The company held its official opening with a tour for the media Wednesday.

The Bonduelle Group says the production unit is creating more jobs in southern Alberta. All of the produce at the plant is also supplied by growers in the region – including an estimated 6,000 tonnes of peas and 7,500 tonnes of sweet corn every year.
Bonduelle holds 85 per cent of the Canadian market and is the leading producer for General Mills’ Green Giant brand and Arctic Gardens. It has also signed a long-term agreement to supply Sobeys with close to 1,500 stores across Canada.
