WINNIPEG – A sudden downpour has caused a serious problem along Ness Avenue.

A large piece of earth near Ness Avenue has washed away and the sidewalk has collapsed.
The stretch of Ness Avenue affected is over Sturgeon Creek between School Road and Valley View Drive.

Rain had pooled on the street however a damaged drainage pipe prevented it from getting into the river system.
City crews are on scene and at this time it is unknown how long the section could be closed for.
