MONTREAL – It’s been the talk of French-language tabloids for some time – and now, the day is almost here.
Parti Québécois leader and media mogul Pierre Karl Péladeau is tying the knot with Julie Snyder, his longtime partner and mother of his three children, in Quebec City this weekend.
Snyder is a well known TV host and producer.

The ceremony is being held at the Musée de l’Amérique Francophone Chapel in the Old City.
There will be a tent set up next door for the reception and the event is being described as simple and festive.

Around 400 people are reportedly attending.
One French-language newspaper in the provincial capital even called the wedding the social event of the season.
