MONTREAL – Hundreds flooded Sun Youth on Tuesday for the first day of the organization’s annual clothing drive.
It’s a two day event that hands out adult clothing and footwear to those in need.
“With the school year approaching, it’s a tough time for many families financially,” said Sun Youth’s Eric Kingsley.
The most in-demand items are warm pants, footwear and winter clothing.
Last year, 3,000 people visited the clothing drive and Sun Youth said it expects about the same number this year.
Anyone looking to receive a donation must show a proof of address, proof of income and ID.
Sun Youth is located at 4251 Saint-Urbain Street.
